It's about time we got back to changing the world...

Our generation built the civil rights movement... We cleaned up our rivers and lakes... We saved endangered species... We expanded the frontiers of freedom around the world. We're not done here. Despite all we've accomplished, Our Generation hasn't finished our work. Will we leave our kids a bankrupt federal government? Who will help the AIDS orphans? And what about global warming? Are we really leaving the world better than we found it? Our Generation is dedicated to common sense ideas that will solve the problems facing our world.

If you're one of the nearly 70,000 people who has made a donation to Our Generation, thank you. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. We're a grassroots organization and every dime we raise comes from our friends across the country. And I want to make you a promise. If you're ever dissatisfied with our work or if there is some reason you would like a refund, please write to Our Generation, PO Box 904, Frederick, MD 21705. I'll make sure you get a full refund of any donations you've given in the last 12 months.

Our Generation: We're not the U.S. Census Bureau

The media has reported that some people were confused by Our Generation's Census of Senior Citizens. They claim there are people who believed that our "Census" was actually from the U.S. Census Bureau. When I look at the language and the artwork of our "Census" I cannot see how anyone could have been confused. It was very clearly labeled with Our Generation's name and address and we asked questions about public policy, reading habits, and political views.

We have not heard from anyone who actually was confused (or even from anyone who knows of someone who was confused). Still, out of caution, we've ended our Census of Senior Citizens and will not use the term "Census" to describe any of our programs in the future. If you or someone you know was confused and you sent a donation to Our Generation thinking we were affiliated with the U.S. Census Bureau, please write to us at Our Generation, PO Box 904, Frederick, MD 21705 and we will promptly refund your donation.

By the way, the results of our Survey (see, I'm keeping my promise. I didn't call it a Census) are posted in the pages of this blog. I hope you'll review them. These opinions are important.
